Everything was top notch..so cosy..convenient for my stay location wise my dog was relaxed and happy too!

What a cosy and cute dog friendly place. Lovely fencing so our pup could go outside by herself without worry and very well instructions from owners and communication during visit. Would for sure be back.

Cute, cosy and comfortable!

It’s a nice little place, the upstairs is lovely with some thoughtful touches like the night light. It’s a good base from which to explore the surrounding area. We were there to see family so when they came over it was very cosy. Very good value, great stay!

Liked everything about it. It was billed as small - and it was - but plenty of room for us and our dog. The shower was a little tight for me as I am not a small woman but the owners have made very good use of the space available and have put a lot of thought into the renovation of the cottage. There were some nice touches like baskets and blankets, plus treats and water bowl for the dog, plus a rather clever torch and razor and USB socket plugs in addition to the usual hairdryer. Although the owners are just next door, it felt nice and private but we had contact numbers if needed - which they weren’t.

This was our second stay at this property. It's very compact, but has everything you need for two people. It's all comfortable, clean, tidy, modern and efficient, in a small cottage in a friendly town. Great for walking from, with some nice pubs within 10 mins walk (but they don't stay open as late as you might be used to). The hosts are really friendly and kind, very pro-dog, and everything is really clean and tidy. We'll be back again at some point, I'm sure.

A lovely compact but exceptionally well-designed accommodation that welcomes dogs, with dog beds and furniture throws. The town and local pubs are a short walk away. Excellent!

We've just returned from four nights at The Dog House. It was great. Our dog settled in straight away which was nice. The outdoor space was very useful and secure. We don't usually stay in towns but we know Mere quite well and it is very small for a town which is great. It was really easy to do good rural and downland walks from the Dog House without needing to get in the car. If you want amenities like shops, pubs and tea rooms it has all of those as well. The accommodation is exactly as described and all really good. We would certainly recommend the Dog House. It's nice and quiet with no traffic noise which is good.

We absolutely loved staying in the Dog House. Great communication from Jen and Frankie throughout, and the property is amazing. It's been renovated to a really high standard (great book showing the process), beautifully furnished and is clearly a labour of love. Excellent use of a relatively small space makes it feel spacious, and it's fitted with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Excellent heating made it cosy even during the very cold weather. Lots of thoughtful touches, including a bottle of wine in the fridge! Great location too, just 5 minutes walj from a lovely pub, the Walnut Tree. We'll definitely stay again when we're down in Mere.
